Notes:
1 Students planning to graduate in May 2011:
The London Maymester is an ideal way to conclude a student’s undergraduate experience! Graduating students can take this course for degree-credit, walk with their peers at the graduation commencement and receive their paper diploma at the end of the Summer upon completion of the Maymester. The May 30 starting date of the London course is coordinated to allow students to attend UT graduation commencement in Spring 2011.
2 Additional Travel Suggestions:
London is a great starting-point for exploring Europe. It is recommended that students who wish to travel to other European destinations do so after the course has concluded rather than during the 3 weekends while the course is in session. It is possible to take short 2-day trips during those weekends: Class will typically get out Friday at 3pm and start punctually Monday morning at 9am. Keep in mind: this 3-credit course is compressed into a 4-week schedule instead of a 16-week normal semester. Due to this short schedule, academic work outside of class is fairly intense (reading, research, writing).
